The needs of the Toronto Jewish community continue to evolve and expand. For many families, the current girls’ high schools available simply aren’t the right fit; it is time to build something new. It is time to create a new educational space that recognizes that student learning styles stretch beyond a desk and chair. A place where hands-on learning is seen as equally valuable to the classic classroom. Moriah is that place.
Our Mission
Moriah is an orthodox Jewish girl’s high school designed to engage and inspire teenage girls to reach their full potential as young Jewish women. Recognizing that every student is unique, with her own strengths, challenges and interests, the goals of Moriah are:
Provide an engaging and personally relevant Jewish studies ...
To foster curiosity and spiritual growth.
Offer diverse and rich experiential hands-on learning ...
That inspire creativity, community, and joy.
Nurture thoughtful, inspired, and proud Jews ...
Who are committed to Torah and Mitzvot
Ensure students successfully complete all Ministry requirements ...
To receive an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
Approach & Vision
Transitioning to high school can be a challenging time. This stage in a young woman’s life is a time when she seeks to make sense of the world, and her place in it. We are committed to creating an environment that respects and supports the emotional and social growth of our students. Our faculty is dedicated to engaging students with compassion and kindness while encouraging their intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, and academic success.
Our vision is for each of our students to leave our doors…
Connected to Hashem, herself, and the Jewish community
Committed to a life guided by Torah and Mitzvot
Catalyzed to live a meaningful life rooted in Judaism and spirituality
Our Curriculum
The General Studies courses offered at Moriah High School are all of the Ministry of Ontario required courses that would be found in any other Ontario high school which will allow her to enter the post-secondary institution of her choice:
